I have been looking for some headers for my 84 4x4 blazer. My question is will headers for a 2 wheel drive work on my truck. everywhere i have looked, you dont get much choice for different sets. And the 2 wheel drive sets are cheaper. :D So what i am asking is what years and all will work on my truck . Did have a 305 in it. now has 454. Thanks.

A guy at Hedman headers told me the 2WD header collector will head right for the driveshaft. Did you look on hedman.com? Standard or auto trans? What heads? Search for a header thread by me and you will find some info.

I'm also curious about header fitment in trucks with engine swaps. I have a 78 carb'd motor in my 87. Which set of headers do I use? Or are they basically the same. Mine's a small block though.

Sorry for hijacking.

Where can I find a set of shorty headers for my 88 k5.
I don't want full length because I have true dual from the manifolds back.

If you have STOCK manifolds , the Edelbrock headers listed for other smallblock applications "should" fit right up to the rest of the exhaust .

Cost more , and you have to cap the smog fitting , but as far I can tell it should fit .

I personally wouldn't even bother swapping if you aren't going full length. The gains aren't in the right RPM range for a truck used off-road, and I just don't see the header "hassle" being worth it compared to manifolds in that case.
