Header issues/Question

I have an 84 k5, and was told by the PO that the motor was a 92 350. I need to get new headers as the old ones are rotted to hell, and leaking rather bad. I tried to weld over the holes, but the metal is too thin to weld. Anyway, my question is I believe the ports on the motor are square, and all the headers i could find for an 84 offered round or oval ports. What should i run? is there a different truck that has square ports and the headers will fit the 84? Thanks in advance.

All SBC's have the same exhaust ports with the exception of "some" Corvettes that had an aluminum head with a D shaped exhaust port.

not to disagree, as i am new to the chevy world, but why do they offer round and oval port headers then? And mine appear square, with rounded corners.

Also the round port headers list 1.5 inch primaries, and the oval port ones list 1.75 primaries. Me confused....

I guess I'm crazy? Is the only difference between the round and oval port headers that summit offer the primary size? The header I have now appears to have round ports, and it doesn't. Leak or anything. If someone could just tell me I'm nuts and a noob, id be very grateful. Thanks.

k im stupid...well that and summit had BB headers listed as SB headers, anyway, thanks to 4x4high, shouldnt have second guessed your knowledge good sir.
