I am wondering if running a set of Full length headers would be a problem with my 82 K5 or should I go with shorties and which ones have you guys had the best luck with....Thanks Jason

Why would full length headers be a problem on your rig? Full length headers help with bottom end torque and power, shorties lose the bottom end torque and power, more of top end power. It's your choice though. JMO.

Shorties have little benefits at all, nearly none in top end and any benefit is going to be minimal at best.

Long tube headers are where it's at for power across the RPM range. I have Dynomax jet-hot coated headers on mine, but there are much better headers out there. If I had the cash to spend, I'd probably go with Hookers.

Don't waist your time and money with shorties...you wont get the power and sound quality that long tube headers give. I have a set of hooker comps. and like them.

Does anyone make a good complete ehaust kit for a k5 with long headers, running dual high flow cats? or do you have to get towed to the mufflere shop to have one fabbed? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif
