I have Hooker Headers that might need replacing. I had DynaTech that cracked on me too.

What do you have? How long? How Much? Any problems?

No problem, I just saw in another one of your threads that you have a tbi motor. Do you have to pass emissions? Because those are non emissions headers. They will work on your engine still, but if you need to pass emissions might not be a good idea.

In Chicago we can get Wavers if we spend more than 200 bucks attempting to repair the vehicle. I got a new set of Cats (which I needed) showed that it was 220 (on purpose) and I was good to go. I'm not even sure emissions exists anymore for something 19 years old... I know 25 or older doesn't matter... I think.

If you want headers that will last get the Edelbrock TES system. I have had mine for 10 years now. They are still in great shape. No rust on the headers (stainless steel). Still using the orginal gaskets that came with the kit. They are 50 state smog legal.
Stainless steel headers cost more. But they last forever and dont go thru gaskets like cheap steel headers.

I will highlight an advantage of the Thorley Tri-Y design: The Tri-Y headers collect from port 1 & 5 then separately 3 & 7 (pasenger side = 2&6, 4&8) then join those via a 3rd collector. The design is claimed to give increases in torque over standard headers. One unmentioned advantage is that the final collector is more streamlined and fits easier along side the spring and shackles.

I am running the Thorley Tri-Y headers and could not be happier. As previously mentioned, they are way easier to mount and take up far less space than normal header configuration.
