I'm about to purchase a set of headers for my 84 K2500 (700R 350). I have been warned by a few people the trans linkage can be problematic.
Just wondering what people's experience's have been.
Thanks

I have those on my k5 and have used them on a couple trucks, Hedman is not bad for the price. I never use the gaskets that they come with. Otherwise they fit well, this header should clear the shift linkage just fine. The bonus is the header doesn’t hang down so low below the frame.

They come with the cheap paper gasket? Guess I'll buy copper ones. Had hoped they came with a better gasket.

Theyre not paper, its a steel embossed cardboard. I just have no luck with them. I use the oem stuff or an MLS steel or copper.
They did come with header bolts and the flanges that are ball socket.

I say paper, you say cardboard... kinda sorta. :)

I'm relieved I'm not going to have to monkey with the linkage. Will probably put an inexpensive heart throb system in for starters.
