headers and rough idle

i just put my thorly headers in last week after a 10 week wait for them to come. they sound great and fit well and gave me a big high end power boost, but now the truck doesnt idle as well as it used to or have the real low grunt that it had. do i need to tune the carb, adjust the timimg, or is this a draw back to headers

It's the headers... there louder so you think it's different...
You hear the sound of teh gasses going through the individual pipes... that's why it sounds rougher...

once they break in it wont be rough anymore, at least thats how mine were.

i figured out why my truck had the rough idle. the wire to my electric choke fell off so it would never open up all the way. when i pressed the throtle it would open a little more so it wasnt as noticable.
