headers....fitment opinions needed...

thanks for the pics dorian....thats the stuff i was lookin for /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif..i think ill definately go with a shorty header...this way i can keep all of the exaust above the frame rail and not hafte worry about them getting hit on something....thanks

From what I can tell, it ruined the coating.

To be honest I'm not a big fan of coatings, but I bought these because of the superior collector flange, tube thickness, and reputation for fit. If I was really worried about rust, I would pony up for some stainless headers.

It states clearly in hedmans guide that comes with them that it voids the warranty, at least for the coating. I had to weld on an EGR bung anyway, so I had already voided that warranty.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I destroyed the coating on my headers years ago and 3 years later they don't have any rust to speak of.
