As the header says.are headers legal on a 91 blazer.getin a new truck later on 2day.it doesnt have smog pump,so no need 4 bungs on the header.i believe they have the o2 bolted into the header.

Yes they are legal. I don't know if you have emissions or not in your county though. If you do you will need cats unless under 5000 miles a year. If you go with long tube headers you will need a heated 3 wire O2. Headman makes a good set of headers that don't hit the shackle too. The 3 wire O2 is easy to hook up too. I have headers on my 90 but never had cats due to being under 5k miles. There was a thread on headers but I can't find the link.

I put the Hedmans in my truck too. You will need a custom y pipe made though.

He's correct, you will need cats if driven more than 5000 miles a year... Here's the kicker, how many miles was it driven in the past year since it was inspected? If over 5000 you won't be exempted from emissions this year, so be careful before you go ripping it apart just yet!!!! I went over 5000 miles this year so I'm no longer exempt, but mines almost stock, so I only have a visual inspection to pass since it's a pre '94. Just curious, why are you looking at putting the headers on? My '91 is a pretty strong runner and all I have is a 3" catback single exhaust setup. I'll probably only go the headers route if one of my exhaust manifold cracks, and even then I might just replace it. I have had bad luck with headers personally, and I'd be really cautious what you buy, all headers are not created equal. Some are just junk right out of the box...

The guy im gettin it from already put the headers on and chopped the rest of the exhaust so im gona have 2 rebuild it and probably go duel cats and mufflers as it has just glass packs that exit behind the doors in front of the rear tires
