Would like to get some torque and ponies out of the 97. Would ask on Fullsizechevy but they are so Tri Y biased its not funny, and the ones that aren't think shorty headers are godly /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif.

Gibson, Edlebrock, & Summit make headers for that model year. I would say the first two should be good ones. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

see heres the thing, the best headers have equal length tubes, or at least close. 2 of those brands don't care about that. Gibson and Edelbrocks are insane. I hate coated and all this crap, damn companies think cause its going on a 97 its gold.

Eaxctly! I wouldnt waste money on shortys, not if you want to gain some power.

See everyone says that, but the only article I've ever seen that involved Tri Ys said exactly the opposite. And I just don't want to run them.

The Other Guys Have heard that they are good. 1/2" thick flanges. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif Also a LITTLE more than Thorleys.

Hooker super comps are what i'm going to run in my burb. I've had them for yrs in other vehicles and really love them and have never had any problems.
