What is everyone's opinion on these headers? They are from a reputable company and reasonably priced.

Try these: http://www.jegs.com/i/Hedman/500/69830/10002/-1
Hedman Elites #69830 . Good stuff ! I,ve run them 5 years. Ball & socket collector, no gasket !

Same header, those are just the coated model.:wink1:

I have ran the painted set for 2 years now. Love them, Install was easy, along with plug changes, etc etc. No leaks either.

If you don't decide on these, make sure you get the ball/socket collector. This is a amazing creation. lol

Ive got those in my blazer and they fit really well. Sound great too! :D

Yeah I have been looking into the ball and socket thing. I don't mind wrenching but I hate leaks.

I did some trading and ended up with edlebrock shortys that are to bolt at the collectors

I hate to ask but do the headers you show #69830 also fit 89 K5 4wd with 5.7 motor, its says to up to 87 but I dont think anything changed on the blazer or jimmy to 91 right???????

I have a set of Hedman headers that had the ball socket and the shop just welded the pipes straight to em and they havent leaked yet. just a thought

That is a thought. What happens though if you have to move the header or remove it for something? You have to drop the whole system out to get at it.

:hack: :grind: :weld: :waytogo:

I have the 830s also on my 86 350. Nice fit, everything everybody else said....I have no complaints. Ball socket is the WTG...

I wish I would have raised my truck first though. Still at stock with a saggin sooper soft suspension...My front diff found the bottom exhaust tube and left a nice quarter sized dent in it....

Bummer. :doah:

x2!!!

The guy who owned my car before me welded the headers directly to the cats....:doah:

spend 1400 on headers....then weld them to cats....WTF

Any of you guys run the 69830s or 69230s with angle-plug heads? I run a set of 69830s but am looking to do a head swap to some TrickFlow heads but they're the angle-plug design.
