i'm looking for some headers for my 83 with 350. i have seen them from $100 all the way to $350. who makes a good fitting set and where is the best place to get them? also, do i have to get new downpipes run, etc?
thanks
keith

It all depends on what you want to spend, you can get the doug thorleys but they run around 450 or so..but are worth every penny and then you can get afterburners from flow tech for 100 not coated
Then you need to also take in to the fold if you have the air injection set-up you need the headers with the air bungs in them or have the muffler shop put them in a set that doesn't have them....mike

I personally have always used Hooker headers. I recomened the compitition series over thier super compitition series. The super comp series use thinner tubes and are more for racing apps. I'd also consitter getting the coated ones, they're garrentied for life to not rust. I usely buy from "JEG'S" ( 1-800-345-4545 ) I like thier service. Give them a call, I'm sure they can answer all your questions.

Just called "JEG'S". Here's the info. 1 5/8 primary, with a 2 1/2 collector. Non coated part #5202452 $141.99 Coated part #5202452-1 $324.99 I plan on spending the $324.99 in a few months. JEG'S 1-800-345-4545. These will fit your 4 wheel drive Blazer.

I've got a set of Heddmen's for mine and really like them. They were $200 and have a 3" collector with a 2 1/2" reducer. I reccomend them, definitly worth taking a look at. Later 80K20
