Headers with A.I.R.

if you look at summit racing, they have an air kit for any header. you just drill the holes and weld the tubes on. I will be doing this in the next month.

Even thought I didnt drill them in. They are just welded on for visual

LOL trying to pull one over on the referees huh?

So they don't care what the A.I.R. system looks like? I could rig something up for my old headers if thats the case. Or does it have to be OEM setup (aside from the headers)?

How do they fit in your rig?

what vehicle is this going into? makes a big difference. Just tried to get headers for my '88 blazer. didn't work out so well...

My understanding is that the parts have to have a CARB number, or they are an automatic no-go. I'd want to talk with a pro about this before shelling out money for a non-CARB solution...

It's an '88 k5 blazer.

Yeah... thats where I'm unsure. There are headers that say 50 state legal but don't have A.I.R. Not sure how that would work.

It may be 50 state legal for a specific app that didn't have AIR, which SOME year trucks didn't. Not sure about CA.

Manufacturers "lie" all the time, although it seems they pretty much killed the "off road use only" phrase at least.
