Well since i cant post in the specific forum, ill post here. I have a 89 k5 blazer with the TBI 350, bored 30 over, vortec heads, bigger injectors. I want to get headers and 3" dual with flowmaster 40s or 44s. With the vortec heads do i have to get headers made for a 98 suburban? (truck they came out of)

Vortec heads take the same style header as a regular SBC head. Find some that fit the chassis and you will be fine.

anyone? i know hundreds of people use this site. ive used it before when you didnt have to pay to do anything useful.

Settle down and relax. Not everyone hangs around here all the time on a sunday evening. Also i don't think you're going to get much help if you want to bash the site because you have to "pay to play". You ever hear that old saying, nothing's for free? :D

The exhaust side of the heads are all the same with the exception of some vette heads that used a D shaped exhaust port. Get a set of headers that fit your chassis or with a slight modification you can use 88-95 truck shorty headers (this is what i've done, i hate long tube headers that hang low and get in the way of the starter).

IMO I would go with single 3" exhaust. With doug thorley try Ys or Edelbrock TES system. Or you can get long tubesfor a SB blazer and dual exhaust
But
3" dual exhaust is way overkill for a Stock truck SBC. Even with vortec heads. Unless noise is all you are after.

Haha well thanks for the input. Sorry i just think paying for a forum is stupid lol

Then you should ask this question on Pirate,,, in the general 4x4 discussion...

Its stupid of you to think that Steve is just going to foot the bill for all of us to come here and talk trucks. Do you think its free for him to run this site?

You are entitled to come here and ask whatever question you wish, BUT don't assume that it is our responsibility to answer your question with an attitude such as yours. :deal:

People like you don't last long around these parts.

You obviously dont' get how life works yet. The money I spend on this forum has paid for itself time and time again. I've learned a LOT, bought stuff, sold stuff, made friends and even a girlfriend, got in a calander, killed a lot of time at work and more. Go ask that question on Pirate and see how much help you get...:haha:

Someone wanna let me know what you gotta pay for that you didn't before? Since I pay I dont really know.
