Howzit All,

Does anyone know where I can get a set of 1-7/8 inch headers for my 1988 K5 4x4 Blazer that fits?

I have a set of Headman 69088 Elite headers that lean against the shackles, but fit every other place relay good and even with AFR angle plugs, a very good fit.

Thank you,
Ed

Hi Ed, that's a good question, when you want large tube headers for a truck they can be hard to find, and when you do lately they are hit or miss for the fitment. The only company I know of that makes 1 7/8" long tubes for a SBC in our trucks is Schoenfield. They may need a V band or something welded on the collector, and you may want to have them ceramic coated for your level of build.

If you can make the elites work then it's probably worth keeping them.

Can you bolt the headers in then run a ratchet strap connecting both sides and crank on it a little?

I will look into Schoenfield right know, Thank you Heath!

I had a set of Hedmans hit the shackle years ago in a '79. Since they were just painted, we put a bar on the outside to hold pressure, then used a torch to heat the tubes in a line to gain some clearance. But back then, it was a $3k SWB K10.
