I have a 1981 CK5 and I am having an issue with these hooker headers hitting my driveshaft. Does anyone here have any suggestions maybe?

It could be that the headers are made off some, or your engine mounts are shifted little to rock the engine, or other things. I saw one truck have problems, and another be fine with the same part number headers.

You will either have to find a different set, or heat all 4 tubes and bend it away from the driveshaft. I had a set of Hedman headers that hit the shackle. Had to heat and bend them in.

There are mid-length headers that could help, but most likely will cause problems with clutch or automatic transmission linkage.

Driveshaft?!?!!!?
That’s a first I’ve heard. Start will a good set of aluminum gaskets and pull the headers off.

Get under truck and use 4 foot pry bar,, bend where you want. Its thin tubed stuff anyways, go slow so ya don't kink them.

I too had hooker headers that hit shackles. Bending them was easier then I thought

Wonder if they're actually for the truck, and not just some headers someone through on there like swettysblazer kind of brought up.
Hitting the Dshaft is a new one.
It'd have to be WAY out of whack wouldn't it?

I've seen the shackles thing. Mine actually did that. I ratchet strapped around the trans and pulled it over some to clear.
Never seen em towards the shaft though.
