Headlight Adjusters

If they would just use a more durable plastic. That would help keep the price down, but then they wouldn't be able to sell as many (less profit).

Those Ford ones look good.
I got tired of the dumb plastic and did stainless nut/washer/core support/washer/nylock nut method on the C10. I think the blazer has nylocks for backing.

I just think that something as potentially important as a part that makes it so that you can see where you're going in the dark and rain (etc) at 55 or more MPH should be a little more durable/reliable than they are. They have been that cheap since that style of headlight adjuster was first used several years ago.

It's a common size, if you're worried about the plastic ones breaking you could replace them with rivnuts (aka nutserts) for less than the cost of the plastic ones

I was worried about the nutserts not holding the adjuster screw in place "not letting it back out"
CK10 do you run the nutserts?
I was having trouble finding the 1/4-28 thread pitch nutsert tool itself. I found the tool no problem I found the sert no problem but the actual 1/4-28 portion of the tool I could not find. I found the tool adapter that would do that pitch but the adapters never work right and all the sert tool sets I found do not come with that pitch.

I'm not running nutserts, it was just a thought for those looking to increase the durability of the adjuster assembly. Throw a jam nut on it if it tries to adjust itself.

I don't have any trouble with the plastic ones, I've only replaced mine once and don't adjust my headlights enough (or wheel hard enough in the k10) to break them.

I have been driving square bodies since I learned to drive. Some 1/2 dozen vehicles over the years. I have only had to deal with the adjusters one time last Nov...and that's only because I pushed too hard on the screw while adjusting it.

It is real easy to over think something this small...

I did have to remove the actual screw portion of the adjuster and replace it with the original Chevy screw
The slots where not quite big enough to hold the bucket mounting tab
I will get some pics of that and post when I get back over to the shop
