Headlight Conversion Kit issues

I recently bought and installed the pilot conversion kit. It uses H4/9003 bulbs.
I put 9003 Phillips High visibility bulbs in. The problem is on low beam they are very dim, not hardley even on. But on high beam they are as bright as the old sealed beam...
Did I buy the wrong bulbs?? or is there another issue??
Now I cannot get my high beams to turn off. I have the 4 light system.

I did a search for you and came up with the search page results and this page. from what I can tell on the second page I gave you, you may need to install some relays. I'm not sure but trying to help.

My first thought was that you need to run relays. The problems you have may be a result in running too much current through the stock wiring. Please post up how you have them wired.

Actually I just plugged them into the stock plug...It is the same as the sealed beam plug.

Lights Camera

K.C has a quad beam relay kit. It allows you to keep the low beams on when you kick up the high beams. Part # for my 91 burb was #6314.
