So just powred up the blazer for first time. And I'm getting this warning buzzer. Remove the key, Still buzzes, shut door buzzes, headlights off buzzes but turn on key or turn headlight it stops buzzing? Any ideas?

I don't have dash, gauges, seat belts installed. It's a 89 k5 with the cpu removed and ls swap. Is there an alarm installed that connects to cpu?

I took the seat belt buzzer out of Dads 75 impala as a kid.
Hooked up a set of leads to it and used it as a leak detector for batteries for years. Shut everything off in the vehicle, hook it in series with the negative post. If it buzzes, something is on and the battery will "leak" power until it's dead.

Worked on old vehicles. Newer ones always have something on with the computers and all.

Trace the sound and remove the buzzer.

Nothing to do with the CPU. Unfortunately I don't remember much more about that circuit. But IIRC the buzzer is on the accessory block, which is somewhere closer to the trans tunnel. It'll have a relay or two on it, maybe a flasher module or two, and should be the "chime" module. Looks like a small speaker.

But I'd be a bit worried about power running through a "dead" circuit even with the buzzer pulled.

I haven't read the other thread key cylinder yet, probably look at after this post. So ATM I'm assuming you just did some column work.
It sounds like the switch at the key cylinder is put together wrong.
Or the key cylinder itself. The tab on the cylinder should slide into cylinder body as key is removed opening the switch. Could be sticking, in the off position and not the on run positions

Ya installer the key lock on the truck a couple years ago. I bought the truck as basket case. Now starting to assemble. Idk if that was the original column but definitely perior correct with high beam and wiper switches on column. I'll tear it back apart. It's goin to be more of a trail rig then payment. Not much left or original harness under hood so ill probably cut the wires that go to buzzer along with other relays and secure them. I'm pretty sure I found it above and to the right of brake pedal.
