I know they had to make them for our trucks :doah:Just everything out there is for newer vehicles.

Is there a flasher control box that will flash the headlights and tail lights?

Yes there is Code 3 but check your state laws. If you are not police of Fire fighter it may be against the law.

I think using them while rolling might be a problem but a lot of construction and towing vehicles use them while on the side of the road.

There have just been times on dark country roads where I'll run across something blocking(accident, tree, animal, whatever) and the stock flashers don't cut it.

What sort of wiring is involved to hook something like that up?

You could install a cheap strobe kit from ebay in your front parking light lenses........

I know in Kansas, anyone can use any color light/strobe as long as it faces to the rear and doesnt exceed more than 65watts. For the front I think you can use flashers (as mentioned already, I see them on const trucks all the time) but it may be limited to amber and white and I'm not sure if that includes headlights. Best thing to do is check your state and county laws. State DOT is a good place to start.

thats a good idea, b/c here in arkansas, it illegal to have any sort of blue light on your ride, flashing or not, alot of the ricer rides had the blue tru-glo florescent lights under their rides, and when the ''blue light rapist'' was pulling women over w/ a blue stobe, they passed a law, if your not a cop, no blue lights of anykind! not even interior lights, i have a 3 farade 24v surge cap on my sub amp, it has a blue voltage gauge built into it and at night it made the inside glow blue...barely, and i got a warning, i put black tape over it, unless i'm at db drag!

you can use a strobe kit. The flashers only work for the highbeam/lowbeams in the front. You can put the flasher in the front lights and put 2 strobes in the rear though i dont think it would look right. I would just put 1 strobe in each front and tail light, 90w. Its not bad, did it with my civic. Or you can buy colored strobes for the front along with the headlight flashers and put strobes in the rear...

anyways, i vollied so i had the stobes but i had blue lights facing front and rear so if any cop saw me with the strobes they saw the blue on either side. for your use, id buy some amber deck lights or grill lights, just have an amber light facing front and rear along with the stobes and use them responsibly and cops shouldnt give you a problem

Strobes - BIG Bucks

The flasher I showed uses the tail lights/park lights and reverse lights. For under $60

Strobes
power pack
Strobes one for each light (4)

I would say close to $175.00

yeah, but then why even spend money. i would NOT put just the headlight flashers in because cops ight give you an issue, you may as well use the stock flashers for free which he dosnt wanna do. If you want people to see you, the strobes are the best way to go with the amber lights, that or you can buy an amber decklight or two for about 60 bucks a pop (LED, check out the miniphantom) and leave it at that, they do a good job, esp at night by themselves

I am now totaly lost. Good night all.:doah:

OK I was talking about just the park lights and tail/reverse lights. Still a revolving light is going to be almost a $100 for a good one. Not like this thing.

or

you can get both im amber, whelens a good company but thats for windshield only because of the angle of the plastic unless you wanna cut it, the miniphantom is good too. They mount with suction cups on the inside of your vehicle and plug into the cig lighter.

i used the miniphantoms and a whelen dual talon, and those with the 90w strobes and people move for you. If you just want to be seen and tell people theres a hazzard those in amber would be perfect. Even one if you dont want two, just put it in the window facing oncoming traffic, or get both and keep em both mounted front and rear

We had LP6000s on the patrol cars when I was a cop.

highbeam flashers, just putting those in may cause problems with the cops, its cheaper but a better solution would be an led decklight or two in amber.
Why would ANY flashing WHITE light be any concern to a Police Officer? As long as it's not Blue, Red, or Purple, it's absolutly legal.
