Would someone save me the trouble of going through an electrical schematic?
I have a '90 K5, when I hit the hi beams, the hi go on and the low go off, wtf? Is there a relay or something that I've missed? I've cleaned the connecters, replaced all 4 headlights, yes I even checked the fuses. I tested the circuit and the low is gone when on hi. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you are having too much fun it's probably illegal.

That's the way it is supose to work. That's the way it has always been. If your ran both filiments your drawing extra power and you making the light hotter and that could lead to an early bulb failure. You tail lights do the same thing. You hit the brakes the running light turns off in that bulb.

That's standard operation unless you have a "quad-beam" relay in the system. Some Blazers were equipped with them by dealers, others work as yours does. The kits are easy to install and typically cost less than $20.

Ohhh yeah I forgot about them funny lights they run in the 90. Well let me amend my post. The post is correct for the other trucks. What didn't change was the wiring in the truck. They changed the pig tails for the lights but nothing in the truck. That main haress has changed very little since about 78. Only major change was the dimmer going to the stalk.
