My headlight on my passenger side on my 89 burb has gone out for the 3rd time. I've replaced it twice with Sylvania headlights from schucks. I used that brand in my truck for years with no problem. Last time I bought one I told the guy and he said if it goes out in 3 months save the receipt and bring it back in. It must have been 4 months or more ago. It was last fall before I moved.

Could I have some sort of wiring issue? Why are they only lasting maybe 6 months?

You could have a wiring issue. How is the mount for it? Is it loose at all. Compare it to the other one. If it vibrates more than it should, it will stretch the filament when it is on.

im having the same problem. im just too lazy to pull out the battery and check that side. i find that after i slam the hood, the light will cut in and out. i know its a plug issue, just too lazy to fix...

i put in a new headlight and found out I had only 3 of the 4 screws on it. so maybe it was vibrating. I guess i'll find out in another 4-6 months
