headlight size question

cool thanks, lmc wants 500 bucks for the set. if these are worth a crap ill use them.reading reviews online now

I've been hoping that the popularity of LED's would continue to drive the price down, while providing superior lighting. You'll have to let us know what you think if you buy them.

I'd be inclined to leave a standard bulb on one side, and LED on the other. I've not been impressed with the LED's I've tried for reverse lights (chinese sourced). They seem bright when you look directly at them, but from the side view mirrors, it's clear the incandescent does a better job of lighting a larger area.

Much of the results come from the quality of the assembly and LED used I'm sure. Probably why the GE ones cost ~$200 still.

i will post up and take pics.for 30 bucks got too try them at least. if i dont like em as head lights i can always make a bracket hang em off the lower back bumper for tailgaters....:angry1::shame:

Id stay away from the led replacement bulbs, the kind that go into the housing. They tend to scatter light because the light source is not pinpoint and optimized for the reflector. Now what you linked may not be terrible because the reflector is made for that led chip. optimized.

I'm interested in how they do too. I'm always looking for better lighting and that's cheap

+1 I'm interested in how those ones work out for you. I saw the new LED ones on the LMC website and was about to order a set to try out until I saw the price tag at the bottom of the page

well next weekend ill get two of these things to try out ill take before and after pics of how bright they are at night and post up what i find out

The full on LED replacement lights are bright AF, at least every set I've experienced on various garbage trucks. Problems I have seen are flicker issues, like on every second truck...

They're fussy, and spendy, and I'd rather spend $7 to replace a regular one after it gets smoked by a rock rather than multiple hundreds.

I have those exact lights. Pretty bright and better than stock I think. Give me a few I'll go shoot a pic on my shop doors.

Not yet, but I don't put many miles on this K5 right now.

have you driven in fog with them yet? just curios ill find out eventualy

No fog out here. (Vegas)
