Ive already done the headlight relay mod and that made them much brighter. but now its time for new headlights and i was thinking maybe running some HIDs or something. anyone done this? I was researching the same type of mod but that was for my girlfriends tacoma. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks!

they have headlight housings that replace the sealed beams. Normally set up to run H3's I think. Been so long, can't remember. I think LMCtruck or stylintrucks.com had them. But they are a little pricey.

also i was thinking of something more along the lines of a projector conversion?

I personally hate HID's in halogen housings. There is no cut off for the light and it scatters light everywhere, bright for everyone but you.

The projectors would be a good idea but I've never seen them. I'm sure they are somewhere, but if you can't find them on EBay lol, they don't exist. Parts like that are always on EBay.

I will be using those upgrade housings I was talking about for my high beams. I like my Silverstars enough to keep them. I'm going to run HIDs in the bottom high beam housings and run a relay that comes on with the high beam circuit. Simple offroad use.

I have the round housings with silverstar 9003 bulbs. With the relay's, it is a great setup.

On my 04 envoy I changed to HID's, they are amazing, but HID's do need the correct housing to tame them.
