Headlight Switch

Just a quick question my headlight switch on my k5 pulled right out, so I went to the junk yard and pulled one. Now my question is How do I get it apart to get it installed?? I just cut the dash at the yard lol. Sorry if this has been answered many many times before.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

There is a small button on the side that you have laying against the desk/table that you have to press while pulling the light knob out (IIRC you have to push the button and pull slightly then release the button for the knob to come out).

Could you take a picture of the button that has to be pushed, while you have it out.

Over all the years that I have owned these trucks I only found out about that button last year wile looking throw a manual for something else.

When I seen it I thought are you kidding me!
