Yes, I've been at it again! On this one we took down the headliner. I bought housing insulation and styrofoam sheets.

Step 1. Sand and paint all rust spots... (i'm begining to hate rust)

Step 2. Cut to fit insulation sheets.. Spray with adhesive glue put up insulation.

Step 3. Glue styrofoam sheets to insulation. Cut remaining sheets to fit gap. Glue those on.

Step 4. Clean the nasty old headliners and glue any spots fallin off. Then, paint Headliner with Duripoint fabric paint. (man it stinks worse than spray paint!!!! So bad it ran my husband off!!!)

Step 6. Reinstall Headliner!!!! TADA!!!

Damn, i wish i had as much motivation as you've got, i could get some things done that i've been putting off. :thumb:

i did something similar to that on my Crown Victoria, although i used automotive damping mats.

it quieted down the ride a lot.

With my windows down......No amount of insulation will do any good against 3" exhaust and dual glass packs ! :D

BUT - I do believe it will make for a cooler cab and find it to be a simple, quick, easy idea to complete inbetween everything else going on.

Headliner is already down - Im half way there and havent even started !

true, but you would be surprised how much quieter a car with an insulated roof is going over bumps in the road.
