headlite upgrade for my 91'' ?

Shawn those headlights end up crossing each other. Are you looking for something like this?

Yeah, something like that. What lights did you use?
 
I went on E bay and searched for "Chevy Truck Headlights" in cars, parts, and vehicles. There were several types of housings that cames up just like the pic of that black Jimmy. Mine are the Daimond Cut style which I have a set of "HID's" for.

If I remember correctly, the donor parts are from a GM car, not the truck 88-up stuff.
 
well i have seen this "conversion" i personally wouldn't call it an upgrade, but i guess it would work. Been told the light output is not all that great.

i was referring more to the replacement housings used similar to the other units that are sold. :p:

BlazeKraze has also done this setup too.
 
Shawn, our '94 Sub, the blue one, has factory composite headlights. They SUCK! They certainly aren't any brighter than the headlights on the '90. :mad: Plus the lenses get cloudy from the intense UV up here and require lots of polishing to keep them clear. I would much rather have glass lenses.

I now have it setup so that the Bosch fog lights come on with the low beams and the Hella driving lamps come on with the high beams. :cool1:
 
Shawn they are glass and Ask blazekraze... I can't remember what it's out of?
 
After doing some searching, looks like those lights are out of a Celebrity. Maybe I'll just stick with the OEM lights and add some driving lights. I read somewhere that someone got some Hella lamps for the 89-91 which have the replaceable bulbs but I can't find those.
 
what year celebrity ? :confused: please, inquiring minds want to know, lol. :haha: :p: :D
 
Headlights

Hey Big D! Try looking for a set of '88-'91 full size caprice headlight housings with the euro front end. The more squared body style before they changed to the rounded type. The celebrity lights don't look as well and are a little smaller and I think have a weird black seal around them.
