It was brought to my attention that one of my customers had welded the rear shock kit to his frame and after w wheeling trip he noticed that that shock kit ripped the welds off and took part of the frame with it /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

So this just a FYI if yours is welded on you may wish to add a couple bolts.

I would use 4 7/16" per side. The new ones from here on out will be pre drilled and hardwear included.

So can we get the hardware? I can drill the stuff I have now so it'll work... lemme know how much... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would use nothing less than grade 8, and as far as I can remember Home Depot doesn't carry grade 8. I could be wrong on that though.

They have Grade 8 bolts last time I checked... But any other hardware store will too.

sweet, thats good to know. thanks....

Looks like I'll give Home Depot another chance on some of the stuff I buy.

Last time I was there for bolts was a good year ago and the best they carried was grade 5.

i got 4, 5/8" grade 8s on each side. i'm good. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

lol,5/8"...that *might* be overkill. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Mine is welded, and has 2 7/16" grade 8 bolts on each side....hopefull thats enuff. lol! once i can weld proficiently, I'll prolly add a support that goes from the xmember by the gas tank to the top of the shock xmember. that sucker wont be goin anywhere then. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
