heat shields for around rotor

i could not get them fior napa. im gonna need a set of four i guess since im doing the rear disc brake conversion.

the dana 44 had a heat shield and another (maybe dust cover) that went on right after the caliper bracket.

anyone know where i can get these?

my buddy said i would go through rotors a lot faster without them. iwould rather not even use them.


do the wheels allow enough to cool them down?
 
They may be heat shields, but i was always under the impression that they were more dust shields than anything. The wheel tends to protect the front the rotor from dust/dirt/some mud, and the shield does the same for the back.
 
I has been my experience that they are dust covers and MUD HOLDERS!!!
