Does anyone know if heat shrink tubing is compatable with gasoline?

Don't know, but I can tell you that electrical tape is less than desirable. I've pulled apart a gas tank that had a fuel pump swapped in with just wires twisted together, severely corroded, with a little tape left on ONE of the wires, not the other. Was pretty darn close to an electrical short in there....:eek1: Either way, I recommend soldered connections only, and staggered lengths at the connection points, so as to prevent any shorts with possible insulation failure. As for the heat shrink, I'm pretty sure there's at least a couple different types. It depends on which you are using I suppose.
