heat wrap on headers...good or bad??

hey guys i need some opinions about heat wrap on headers. ive got a set of shorty headers that im about to install and was wondering if i should use heat wrap or have them ceramic coated. the headers already have the heat wrap on them but ive heard that it can cause the headers to get too hot and the wrap can collect moisture.
what is everyones thoughts on this.

bad, headers WILL crack and rust bad, but they rust anyway unless coated. Voids every warranty I've ever heard of.

Have they been used much? If so, just use them til they are toast, then start fresh with some long tube ones....

That extra heat is killing those primaries. I wouldn't waste my time stripping it off and trying to coat them....

didn't even notice they are shorties. Unless you find clearance issues with long tubes I wouldn't waste time coating or wrapping shorties, just wear them out and run long tubes.

i got them free and there brand new so ill run them. im not a fan of long tubes because of how low they hang. friend of mine crushed one of his. i guess i should find out how much coating costs

Wrapping them will rot them out.

not to mention passenger side shackel interfearance, heat sink problems with starters.

i'm ditching my dynocraps for some shorty headmens.

INTERNAL coating is what makes a difference in how much heat they keep in. I'm not sure what options are out there for internal coating, if I can find some thats reasonable next time I buy a set, that is what I'm having done to them.
