Anybody got an interior pic of the lower dash area with just the heater box? Removing my a/c and trying to decide if I want to go aftermarket mojave type heater or find an oe style heater to put in.

One of things I don't like about the a/c is the way the plenum box looks hanging out of the dash and the amount of space it takes up. I think the heater only one fits a little better and tighter, but can't find a picture anywhere.

Would like to go with the oe style heater. Seems like swapping the controls would be easy and replacement parts are available.

Found one. Looks to be about the same as the a/c model.

DITTO on the aftermarket.

I prefer the heater from Danhard. This thing will roast you out. The fan is very powerful.

The Danhard looks nice. Guess that would save me the cost of an a/c delete kit and heater parts. Could just weld a sheet metal patch to close up the hole in the firewall, then drill (2) 1" holes or so for the heater hoses.

Sounds like a plan

Go check out my build thread for more pics on the install. I also posted some pics and details on someone elses thread for heaters.

I bought mine through JCWhitney. ( I know, I know). But they had the best price and they are always sending me the 15 or 20% off coupons also.

I purchased the 1412 Model and the Heater control kit.
The heater lists for $183 and -20% was $146. The heater control kit was a little over priced, I thought any way. It listed for $120 and I paid $96. I only used some of the parts in the control kit. You could try to scrounge up the parts yourself. A 4 position rotary switch, Y connectors (Not used, with a standalone heater) clamps and the most important was the shutoff/flow valve and cable. I opted for convenience and paid a little more.

Damn! Wish I would have seen that Danhard setup before I bought my AC Delete box.
