Should be pretty much the same, there's not a whole lot of variation in heater core installation.

Sucks. Donkey. Azz.

Remove the inner fender, or I hear hole-sawing through the fender can work too.

It shouldn't take more than a few hours to do that, if you are lucky. Mine already had a hole drilled with a hole saw, so I could get to the lower nut. When I put the housing back in, that stud broke off :doah:

The inner fender is held on with a dozen bolts. Two are 9/16" and the rest are 1/2" heads. I had my inners out a few weeks ago to paint the engine bay. The worst part is bending your head to get at the ac duct work under the dash. Remove the glove box for access. Pull the carpet back, if you have it. to give more room for the heater core housing to come down and clear the frame under the glove box.

My mechanic uncle told me to just hire it done, but they wanted over $200. It was well worth doing it myself. It will be even easier next time you pull the core. The AC box on the firewall isn't all that hard to pull either. Mine was full of leafs and the seals were messed up, so I got engine fumes inside.

Good luck!

When I removed my inner fender, I wish I had drilled the access hole before putting it back, this would help for any future repairs that may be needed. something for anyone reading this post, DRILL the access hole, itll be worth it and takes 10seconds to do.

well instead of drilling a hole i used an extension about 4 foot long and a swivel head and got it done in an hour and 45 min,now i am in the house teasing the dog.

Come on it's not that hard to change. Fender well is the worst part if the bolts are rusted. Just some time.

Now for the S10 someone mentioned, now that SUCKS!
