Heater core

its really not that hard, just takes some patience...i think I did mine in 2-3 hours

If you have A/C it is a pain.

Because now you have to take off the inner fender-well to get that ONE damn bolt on the bottom of the engine-side vent assembly.

Good luck.

Wayne just replaced mine about a week ago. it was a PITA from what he said. For the same reason you mentioned. I['m glad he did it while I was at work. Not sure how long it took him but I'm sure it was a several hour job.

the good thing is that its not a "hard" fix...
just a pain that a 30 dollar part takes hours and hours to replace...
make sure you have plenty of beer on hand, sure made it easier for me..

Do one on a 76 or 89 f150 they only take like a half hour total time, these are only hard compared to the blue ovals!! /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

And a Ford Aerostar takes removing the whole dash and about 8 hours.....Your point?
Some are harder than others. It took me 4 hours to do mine and I was taking my sweet time and scrubbed the heater boxes clean and cleaned the defroster ducts. This biggest time killer was removing 20 bolts on the inner fender to get at one bolt for the heater box.

Yea, mine only took a week, with Grimmy helping me by PM. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif J/K. Not quite a week. I thought taking the inner fender off was the easy part. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

on my 1989 ford areostar it only take a few hrs
its right under the glove box,
hardest part is getting to the hoses under the hood
