i got a couple heater fans and to test them what i did is run a wire from the negative on the battery to the fan and touch it against the hole that the screw goes into the firewall and take my test light and hook the clamp to the positive of the battery and touch the other end to the little tab comeing out of the blower motor and nothing happens the fan wont turn but the light on the test light lights up. idont understand why it wont work on either one?or am i mssing something or doing it all wrong.

your not really doing anything wrong, except that your test light is acting like a big resistor, try using a jumper lead, it'll work then assuming all else is well. :D
