Hi there from Germany,

I've replaced the 6.2 Diesel engine of my '84 K5 with a good old 350 without any kinds of electronics - just good old points and a Rochester Quadrajet, etc. - the engine is running great and now i am going to fix the last minor things - so like to connect the heater core with the engines cooling system, it's getting cold here... ;-)
I need those fittings to connect the heater hoses with the engine... my '71 350 block has those 1/2" open threads, 1/2" - 14, one in the thermostat housing, one next to it and one in the waterpump... the dealers here in Germany aren't able to sell me the right fittings 'cause they just don't seem to understand my kinda problem ;-)

Normally i purchase my stuff directly form the US, Jegs, Summit, Rockauto or ebay.com - but i just don't know the english term to go in search for...

I really would appreciate if one of you guys could help me by posting a few links or just tell me the english term for those threaded fittings to go in place of the plugs...

I hope my english wasn't to bad, if so i'm really sorry!

Greetings from Germany,

Lukas.

This should help https://www.summitracing.com/search...9+4294512740+4294510720+4294510663+4294510694

The side that threads into the ports we would call 1/2" NPT male threads. NPT=National Pipe Thread

The other side is a barb fitting. Heater hoses are 2 different sizes for some reason and I'm not certain which size is feed and which is return. They are 3/4" and 5/8".

After a little searching, I believe the 5/8" is the feed line that runs off the intake. The 3/4" line is the return that connects at the water pump.

Yes, it was a Birthday Gift from my girlfriend - will ask her and tell you :) Easy installation, good fit, solid quality :waytogo:

Sorry for the late reply- my girlfriend bought it from a guy in germany- the commercial invoice don‘t say anything about the brand- maybe it‘s a german custom by the guy himself- but i think he receives the grille from the states- here is his Mail-address: ;)

His name is Norman Tschinkel...
