Heater hoses?

Can anyone tell me which hose is the outflow from the radiator? Im trying to findout which one of these hoses has the hottest fluid in it and in which direction it is flowing. One pic shows them entering the fire wall and the other shows them as they come out of the radiator/water pump. My asumption is that the one leaving the engine going to the firewall is the hottest and flowing to the firewall. thanks in advance. Brian

I know on mine, not sure the sizes, but the one going to the radiator is the return to the radiator,,,

leaves the intake, goes into the heater core, leaves the heater core and into that port on the radiator.
