"Heavy" half ton...

excuse me 14sf/10b

Oh and it fit because that is what sparked this question. Any other stupid questions?

no need for the smartass attitude... that truck, nor the Ebay description, ever mentions "heavy half" or any sort of heavy duty suspension at all. its just a diesel K10.

I had a 83 "heavy half" C10 pickup. It was a standard short bed pickup with a helper spring in the rear. 6.2 diesel, 700r4 5 lug 10bolt rear with some ridiculous 2.?? gear ratio. I swapped in a 14 bolt FF with 4.10s, 73 3/4 ton rear springs and put on a rack body to end up with basically a 1ton 2wd.
It was really not a heavy duty truck to begin with. I always feared pulling a trailer up a grade from a stop with that 10 bolt and the 6.2

The description says "1983 CHEVY HEAVY K10 DIESEL 4X4 CLASSIC RESTORED TRUCK"

So it sparked my interest to see what the heavy half's were.

Oh yeah they do. Especially a lifted blazer, they always like a guy that knows how to get it up.
