as much as i hate to say it, i actually might try to mount a new set of IPF lights i got similar to the way the heeps mount them near the windshield. i know the windshield pillars are out of the question because they are so thin, so does anyone have any ideas about other options?

or am i smokin crack?

Yeah, my first reaction is "light bar" ... but if it's an 81+ truck, how about the farthest outer edges of the the windshield cowl? Removable, kinda easy to drill into?

thats what im thinking. i really cant go light bar route, cause the truck barely fits into some of the parking garages around here. lol

i thinking it would look good, just curious if anyone else has thought of this or tried it...the cowl would be perfect

Seems like your vision would get blocked unless they were the low-profile types... our hoods are already bloody big and square and have a blind spot the size of a Hyundai in front =)) I note that in the 70's a popular aftermarket part was a low-profile hood that cut down the middle ... it was only like 2" shorter or so, but I betcha it made a difference.

The driver's side one would be okay, I think, 'cuz you could weave your body to the left to see around it, but a big light on the passenger side could give you a blind spot the size of an Escort, anyway =))

Ill tell you what, this would be a pretty good PHOTOCHOP Project. Someone get a straight on shot of a K5 and 'Chop some KCs or similar in place. And even get a shot from the drivers seat, looking out the windshield and 'Chop some lights. :D

Id be interested in some alternative light mounting options. Roof light bar is out due to all the low overhangs we deal with around here and I dont like how high off the roof themselves the light bars are.

X2. who has legendary photochop skills to take on such a project????
