Height addiction...

Anyone esle have this problem?

Seem to build a truck planning on it being street legal and it quickly becomes otherwise.

Previously planned on building a truck with 38's and a 6" lift (33" tires for inspection)

and it quickly turned to 12+ of lift and wanting the use of 50"+ sized tires.... at that point the truck is not driveable on the street.. has this happen to you?

I haven't run into too many cops that have a clue what is street legal in mass. Whenever I have gotten stopped for concerns I just shrug my shoulders and say, "I have an inspection sticker." Of course that only works if you have an inspection sticker....

I once had a cop tell me I had to put my backseat back in my camaro or I couldn't drive it. I told him it still has seat belts back there. He shook his head and let me go. I don't think he could come up with anything else to say after he pulled me over for no reason.

well I have my inspection license and there is no height limitation if your truck is over 10,000 pounds GVW and commercially registered, but under 10k pounds theres a formula for height but basically its 2" for jeeps and 4" for trucks...

any how, my old chevy had 21 inches of lift and was 3/4 turned 1 ton.. but i was told if it hits the streets i would be ticketed cause it was too high ( but i liked the height)

I make it a point to keep my rigs street legal but thats pretty easy in Arkansas, we dont have very strict mv laws. As in my rig with no windshield is legal:D

Most of the trails I run have some highway in between and there is an offroad park 6 miles from where I keep my truck so I dont really want to put it on a trailer every time I go somewhere.

As far as tall trucks go, I never really cared for a bunch of lift. My dd has 3-4"s with 36s and my trail rig is somewhere between stock and 2" of lift and 37s.

I mean i really dont care for the tractor tired trucks (there cool and all but who has the money to build one and whats the practicality? )

And I too like to drive my trucks, but when there not part of daily life (people dont care for them around here--tree huggers and hippies) and you can finally afford to do it, I like to go a bit higher then the rest and be different

(i am not a tube guy nor do i like to cut sheet metal)

my truck hugs lots of trees, just sometimes it squishes them
