Anyone who is running "stock" springs, that are preferably very new, can you measure the height of the truck from the ground through the centerline of the rear axle up to the edge of the wheelwell? Same for front might help too.

I swapped out my old leaf springs that had an add-a-leaf in them for some newer springs that appear to be a stock replacement. I ended up gaining about an inch of lift. Not really the look I wanted, especially since the front is now lower by about an inch.

I'm curious what a basically stock truck sits at. With my 33's on stock wheels, I'm right around 38" now.

Eventually I plan on new springs all the way around, but I'd like to know if the front will end up raising as well, or if I just ended up with some springs that aren't quite stock now.

Just as an FYI, depending if a spare tire is in the rear or if the gas tank is empty or full could change the measurements. Just make sure to compare apples to apples.

depending on how worn your springs were, the baseline may have been low. I know for a fact my front springs are arched the wrong way due to being worn out. Id measure for ya, but I dont think mine sits "stock" but is actually lower than it should be. still fits my 33's though :dunno:

Well that's what I was trying to gauge. The stock rear springs were definitely shot when I installed them, as it was at least an inch lower in the rear than the front. Add a leafs fixed that, but the ride seems worse than with standard springs.

The fronts are probably junk too, but since the rear was lower, I focused on those.

I did both my measurements (worn springs with add a leaf and aftermarket springs) with a full tank and my spare, so my measurements shouldn't have been affected by that. But if asking others, definitely correct that weight on the springs will affect ride height.

No problem running the 33's now, they never hit, although with the 10 bolt (narrower than the 14SF in it now) and the stock wheels, when flexed one rear tire would contact the inside portion of the wheelwell.

Jusy fyi. Stock springs came factory with negative arch...
