i have a pair of hella black magic lights on my truck, i'd like to boost the output if i can. i was looking on the 4wpw website, and they have higher watt bulbs availible. the lights come with H-2 12v55w lamps. they offer H-2 24v70w or H-2 12v100w lamps. could i swap out the 55's for 100's? im assuming i shouldnt use 24v lamps.

I bought the H-4 Conversions for my 74 and I love them. Theyre the blue lights.
ya, those are nice. unfortunatly they dont make them for 89-91 quad lights. im talking about these:

Don't use 24v bulbs with your 12v truck. They'll be orange lights...
The 100w bulbs will require relays (if you don't already have them) and heavier wiring between light and relay. They will also generate a boat-load of heat. If the light body is plastic, you could end up melting a hole in the body. Something to keep in mind...
