New guy here.
I have owned my '85 K5 on and off (gave it to my Dad for awhile)
since 1999.
Long story short, ex stepdaughter put her black widow touch to it, and I am putting in a different engine, along with a new tranny and radiator.
That said, I am swapping in an '86 4bbl 4.3 in place of the 350, which replaced the 400, which replaced the 305.
The truck now has 4.10's or 4.11's instead of the 3.08's.
I know "a 4.3 ! ! ???"
I'm an engineer, can't help myself.
Doing the 4.3 in anticipation of a turbo.

Should be good on gas. Tell us more about the modifications you plan for this engine.

No mods yet, just want to get it in and running.
Was going to fix the tilt wobble, but it had a collar put on it.
Got it out and ground off.
Then I saw the upper tilt housing is broken in three places.
Anyone near Dallas have a tilt column to fit an '85?
