Howdy, welcome aboard. What's the specs of the Blazer?
First off, CK5 here is good for the 73-87 GM truck and modifying them but for specifically CUCV questions I like to go to www.SteelSoldiers.com . There's knowledgeable guys on both forums but I've found you get incorrect info about their basics here and bad info about modifying them over there. Confused yet?

Do you know if it's been converted to a 12 volt start system? While in the service they were 24 volt start and the rest of the truck was 12 volt like the civy trucks.
Factory drivetrain was a J-code 6.2L diesel, TH400, NP208, and dual 10 bolts with 3.08's and the Grenade Lock limited slip in the rear axle.

As far as the front goes, here's my M1008's shnoze:

Driver's side stuff:
Blackout light towards the top and the big round thing is the bridging plate. Unit info goes there. No clue what it means. Never bothered to figure mine out and never had to deal with it when I was in the Marines.
Passenger side:
The plug receptacle looking thing with the cap on a chain is just that. It's a NATO slave receptacle so you can plug a big "jumper cable" sorta thing in and jump start or get jump started by another 24 volt NATO spec military vehicle.
The two little lights in the bumper are more black out lights. Only really good if you're wearing Night Vision Goggles.

My rearend now has a 14 bolt in it but the front is still a 10 bolt it has 38.5's in the front and 40's in the rear i have had it for about a couple of months now but i love it except when the steering arm broke off the knuckle (person before me i guess welded the knuckle to the arm and the bolts) so it has been out of comission for about 1 month now
