I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything. I need help. Thank you in advance for any reply's. I was thinking about buying this guys diff's and was wondering if a 3/4 ton Dana 44 and a 3/4 ton 12 bolt out of a 72 3/4 ton truck would fit under my 1985 K5? The guy said it's 8 lug and came stock with 4.10 gears. He said it was something like a "Camper Special". Is there a such thing? I also heard that the early Dana 44's were not as good as the newer ones. Is that true? I know I would rather go with the bigger Dana 60 and 14 FF but I'm getting a good deal for the two, i think.

'72 3/4 ton has an open knuckle (modern design) Dana 44 front, but with smaller bearings than later model trucks. The rear will not be a 12 bolt (1/2 ton only). It will be either an Eaton or a Dana 60.
