help 77' wont turn over :(

help 77\' wont turn over

I tried to start my 77' this afternoon to no avail. I didnt even get the "clicking sound" once every so often i get a "click" and i charged the battery up and cleaned the connections to the same result. help!

350, sm465, NP205, 14 Bolt w/Detroit locker(465 ratio), Dana 60 465, 38.5 swampers

sounds like the starter sylanoid(sp?) to me try climbing under it and jump the main termanal to the s termanal on the starter sylanoid the s terminal is the one closest to the block if you have power to the main terminal and you jump them and it dont start or turn over it is your starter

Or it could just be a bad cable or connection at the starter.

'85 K5 : Run it til it breaks, then fix it and go again!

FIXED!!! noticed the negative cable was wrapped in electrical tape unwrapped it to find nothin but rot! put a new one in BOOM fired right up
