Help a guy out ?

I have a th400 turbo combined with a 205 t case I just bought a set of ford diffs so I needed to change my t case so it has a left hand side drop...
I hear a 241 is the way to go. Will a 241 bolt right up to the turbo 400 tranny ?

If the 400 has the round, 6 bolt adapter on it and a 32 spline tail shaft, yes. If its got the big "figure-8" adapter, nope.

What style adapter does the 400/205 have, tall figure "8" (up to '84) or short round ('85+).

Awesome ! I'm 95% sure my turbo 400 is 32 spline and 6 bolt adapter so now all I have to do is find the 241c and chuck it in ! Lol then build 4 link all around and install a hydralic steering assist ... Has anyone played with the hydro steering ?

I'm sure he meant make sure the transfer case has a 32 spline input...you can change the input shaft (on the t/c) if needed.

I "think" the the 400s all have 32 spline outputs...

Make sure to get a 241 out of a heavy 3/4 or 1 ton, 32 spline input
