Hello, I'm Christina, my blazer over heated and b/c it I blow my HG. My usual shop is saying its going to cost $1000.:doah: So... if anyone can help me in anyway. Contact me [email protected] I live in the Detroit, Michigan area. And actually I was talking to some people at the bar (the Village Bar. Wayne, Michigan) that I work at and they led me here.

Thank you,

Christina

Welcome to site! :D

Would this head gasket be something you want to do yourself?

ha i just moved from detroit mich what area i know a few people that might do it cheaper warren, sterling heights area?
let me know

$1000 is way too high. You are probably only looking at about $60 or so in parts with the head & intake gaskets, etc. If you don't want to do it yourself, I would find a young capable person, maybe off this forum that would do it at your house for alot less.

depending on mileage, this would be a good time to have the heads freshened up too, since they are off.

I know there's a few of the boys that live up that way, like ScottA said maybe 100 bucks in parts and a day or two of getting dirty. If you got the tools we May be able to talk ya through it, it's not that tough

I got about 174,000 miles on it. And the $1000 is going to have to get paid. But I guess next time I'll have to do this sooner because any guy willing to get their hands dirty under my hood and teach me a few things is # 1 in my book. I just hope their single too b/c wow is that hot.:bow:

I think that is pretty much most of us on CK5. I would kill for a girl actually interested in learning about cars and trucks and engines. A lot of times I need a second pair of hands to help do some of my dirty work;).
Any gear head would be lucky to have you. :waytogo: :pimp:

i was just in mich last weekend and i'd of done it for you but i could not get to a computer while up there i checked here before i left but did not see anything i come up alot so let me know if you need help with anything.

i've got a bare frame in my garage that is going to be built by September 15th to go to Indy. if changing a head gasket is hot, when are you going to propose? :D

i'm not too far from Detroit, and might consider coming up that way if you'd post some pics of yourself. :lol: unfortunately i've got my hands full right now with my project.
