the transmission went neutral, and i pooped thought great just blew trans. nope just jumped in neutral
so i am glad the pro flo 4 has a rev limiter..........
B&M StarShifters
only question for both is how to wire up back up light to make them work when in reverse
Art Carr/Winters Shifter

Is the art carr/winters shifter with a cable like b&m?

I’d look into Hurst. Ran those in all the race cars, zero issues. No BS gate problems either

I get that. Also talked to another guy in the last month removing another shifter that was less expensive

have a b&m mega shifter that come out of a camaro i used to have but it is rusty.........
would take some rebuilding before it would work properly

B&M 's always seemed flimsy and cheap to me..

for that style shifter I swear by the oldschool Mr Gasket/hurst V-matic...

bottom is ratchet race mode or upper click/click normal mode... used to bash the sh*t out of these in ratchet mode.... sooooo much fun in a hotrod!

that said, a true gated shifter like the Winters is a much more precise, functional design, especially for a truck.. i have one for the K5...

I'd take the Winters Sidewinder over ANY B&M anyday..

well b&m and hurst are owned by holley i think

the mr gasket/hurst was always a better built version of the comparable B & M.. whether that's now true under holley, no clue..

Who made those auto shifters with the three sticks?
Popular in the 80s. quarter stick or some shit like that? Looked cool, don’t know if they are any good?

Maybe lightning rods?

Yeah. Just edited my post but aftermarket ones. I knew a guy that had some in a 67 Camaro.
I always thought they were cool. It was the sole reason I would want a Hurst/Olds Cutlass. Never got one.

Me too! Did have a Montie but it wasn’t as cool.
Good reason why I never went after one is that we had a factory 4-speed '78 Malibu 2dr at our house. Way more fun to drive even with a smog era 305 2bbl.
