other than ebay or old stock at some dealers does anyone know of a place for bolt studs like this ?

I bought one at Fastenal, probably was 10 years ago or more, so who know these days.
292 results, but there are plenty of double-ended studs here, some with the hex.

I always hated those bolts. I seem to remember more than a few GMT400's having them in all 6 locations, whether they needed the studs or not.
I probably have a bunch of used ones if you want them.

I have some 3/8" coarse ones like that,from various vehicle part outs..not sure what they came off of now..

3/8 for bell housing and seen both 3/8 or 8mm x 1.25 metric on stud size .
I'm thinking the studs I have came off a AMC straight six thermostat housing or head,I'm pretty sure they didn't come off a GM vehicle..they are about 2-1/2" long overall,the stud parts after the head is roughly an inch,I can go get more precise measurements if need be..raining here today so nothing much else to do..probably try to re-arrange some stuff in the garage to ward off boredom..
They look like the stock ones that came on my 8.1L/Allison. 3/8x8mm 1.25 I think. The stealership doesn't list?

I may also have one from a 6.2L bellhousing bolt.
I haven't come across any of the exact bolts you are looking for, with the 8x1.25 studs. But I do have these ones with 3/8 on both ends, and one with 5/16. I think they are technically 1/4 inch too short though.
