I have a 1974 Jimmy, which has the removable top, and the latch that operates the liftgate is broken (connects with the interior handle). For the life of me, I cannot find anyone that makes one. Does anyone know of a source for this part? I am fine with used parts - just need it to operate!

Thanks in adance for your help!

Maybe this will help:

I wish. Unfortunately the mechanism I need is the greyed out one just to the left of the blue number "22" in that picture.

Just try running a Google search with the OEM numbers.....

Try e-bay motor, they have a lot of original parts from various sources.

This is the part you are describing in this post: https://www.classicindustries.com/product/all-years/chevrolet/k5blazer/parts/3962782.html

But that doesn't sound like what you want from the original post. This should cover everything ("Coming Soon"): https://www.classicindustries.com/product/all-years/chevrolet/k5blazer/parts/t70504.html.

To me, "liftgate" was connected to the top on first gen Blazer/Jimmy, or "hatch". I've only known the fold-down part as "tailgate"
